Gentoo Installs
Gentoo has become one of my very favorite distros. It’s granular design (through Portage) allows me to update individual packages in a way that I never had the chance to do with Mandrake, Suse, etc. It can be called a “Metadistribution” because of the slim amount of branding or packaging it adds to your OS and the entirely configurable way that it lets you build your system.
The pages listed under this one are about installations I’ve done with Gentoo and problems I’ve encountered along the way. Like all my distro checks, I try to record exact keyboard input so those who try the same thing will have some company along the way.
See the side navigation for the actual Gentoo installation records.
